When I began in real estate, interest rates ranged around 18% and properties sold in modest ranges of value. With interest rates being that high, lenders weren’t lending money for purchasing. But, in spite of a bad economic time, sales were made, creative financing was a must and the cycle changed. Soon my sales pushed over the million dollar mark After 11 years of doing commercial, land development and residential real estate, I switched to a career in marketing working for two different fortune 500 companies. Now, I work online in a dynamic business which ties in with both of my careers.
As a widow, I found myself concerned with how I would fill my days, not wanting to just watch TV, read or have lunch with friends. My experience with computers was limited to email and simple maneuvers requiring little effort. Because I needed more in my life, I enrolled in an online marketing school and soon discovered that a businesses working from home online fulfilled my dream of a retirement income to a higher level than I ever thought possible.
I took the years of real estate experience and combined it with my marketing knowledge and chose an online business to work from home. I, then, became a partner with my daughter and now, we are now in business full-time together.
